About me
I am Valen Kua, a concept artist and 2D artist with experience working across game art, film production, and card game illustration. I have freelance experience with Lemon Sky, Syncraft Studio, and Barnstorm Entertainment, and I am currently contributing as an illustration artist for Dynasty TCG. I graduated from The One Academy in Concept Art and Illustration, and served as Art Director for the final-year animation project VOW, where I led visual direction, maintained art consistency, and supported cross-team communication. As a generalist, I can develop visuals from early exploration to final delivery—including prop and environment design, key art, storyboards, color scripts, and production-ready callouts—while my strongest focus is character design and game-oriented visual development. I am also a Finalist (Rank A Artist) at The Rookies Awards 2023.
